Using a tool called "Essential Executive", the entire 7-10 curriculum is entered into one shared database, topics are related to VELS standards and indicated as being covered and/or assessed. This also informs the Report Coordinator of subjects requirements for assessable items to be included on their Reports, using QuickVIC Report Writer. All progression points have been made available on our own Intranet, staff have been given an evening to get them out and discuss in Learning Area groups their contents and meanings. VELS Working Party is still operating, ensuring that staff are kept upto date with developments and that the implementation of VELS continues. drummond.kim.s@edumail.vic.gov.au is the Coordinator of this group. |
