2019 Swimming Sports

Tuesday 19th February

Despite the cooler weather, a wonderful day of swimming was held on Tuesday. Congratulations to the students who participated to the best of their ability and to the many others who came to support their peers. Our participation numbers were up on last year which was very pleasing to see. Several records were broken on the day and there were some other great individual performances. Mayci Porter was awarded the “Swimmer of the Meet” trophy, a testament not only to her ability, but also her willingness to compete in every event.

Congratulations to Wimmera House who were the winners, but the result was much closer than it was last year.

Thank you to the many parents, grandparents and friends who came along to support the students, it is lovely when there is a carnival atmosphere. Well done to Mr Hobbs for coordinating the day and to all the DMSC staff who assisted. A final thank you to Mick and Lisa Polycarpou, who once again had the pool and surrounds in pristine condition. The pool temperature was at 26 degrees in the morning, perfect for the cool conditions.

Well done to the age group winners, pictured at the bottom of this page.
